Our Tekla Structures Training differs from other Tekla training because it teaches the practical application of Tekla Structures on real world examples and builds your knowledge in a logical progression Tutorial by Tutorial.

There are other online courses available that will teach you some of the basic tools, but these are not enough to learn how to use Tekla Structures for when you need to start your first project.

Our course has been developed by a Structural Steel Detailer, for Structural Steel Detailers and allows you to learn at your own pace.

​

It is broken into several tutorials where you build upon your knowledge of Tekla in each tutorial, guided by videos demonstrating each technique in detail.

 

Tutorials 1 to 5 teaches the basic fundamentals of modelling and once completed you then apply what you have learnt to complete Tutorial 6 which is essentially a test of your modelling knowledge. 

​

The model produced in Tutorial 6 is then used to produce drawings such as E-Sheets, Assembly Drawings and Single Part Drawings in Tutorial 7. 

​

However, before drawings are created, I'll also show you how to check your model using reports and other tools.

​

After the drawings have been created, we will also take a look at how you manage revisions to the model and subsequent effect on the drawings in Tutorial 8.

Whilst the course is a self-paced online course where the student is provided with drawings of models to be recreated, and videos to watch demonstrating the techniques, Tekcon Services is available for one-on-one web meetings as needed throughout training (for an additional cost) or via email to answer questions that arise.

Trimble provide free Tekla Structures educational licenses via their Tekla Campus program.

These licenses must NOT be used for commercial work.

All you need to do is to sign up for a Trimble Account and then you can activate a 12-month Tekla Structures license and download the software and start using.

Be sure to download the US Environment when downloading and installing Tekla Structures.
